Maryland Governor Cites Forester's Record of Regional Leadership and Commitment to Working Families

WASHINGTON, DC - Dyana for DC, the campaign of Dyana Forester for DC Council At-Large, today announced the endorsement of Maryland Governor Wes Moore. The endorsement highlights a shared commitment to building a stronger, more equitable National Capital Region through partnership, collaboration, and investment in working families.

The DC, Maryland corridor is among the most economically and politically interconnected regions in the nation. From transportation infrastructure and environmental resilience to workforce development and housing affordability, the challenges facing residents on both sides of the border demand leaders who can work across jurisdictional lines. Governor Moore's endorsement reflects his belief that Dyana Forester embodies exactly that kind of collaborative, results-oriented leadership, and that her election to the DC Council would strengthen the region's capacity to deliver for all its residents.

Dyana Forester brings decades of experience as a labor organizer, executive government appointee, legislative advocate, and elected neighborhood commissioner. She has dedicated her career to ensuring government works for working families, and is running for DC Council At-Large to bring that same mission to the city’s legislative body.
